Just as I have been seriously considering a complete switch from Canon 5D Mark iii to Sony A7R, I came across this issue on the alphasonyrumors website posting with the accompanying comments:
It appears that number of people had moisture issues with their Sony A7Rs and the subsequent Sony's customer support response. Many people are apprehensive about Sony tendency to develop good products but then abandon them and their users and also Sony's poor customer support. While I don't intend to expose my A7R to moisture, this purported moisture sensitivity made me put my photo system migration plans on hold. While I am presently very happy with my A7R (except for limited lens options), I am not sure that I am ready to take a chance on a full switch from my Canon gear (which I like very much except for the size and weight) and a known good customer support.
